Long Weekend!

The Long weekend is upon us!
Enjoy and be safe. Last night I was pulled over by the R.I.D.E program, which I fully support. If you are going out drinking make sure the driver stays sober and within legal driving limits. There are enough BASTARDS on the road don't be one of them.

If your driving to a cottage, RELAX you know it's going to be bitch with traffic, put on your favourite music and enjoy. As I mentioned before: there are enoughBASTARDS on the road don't be one of them.

If you are in a public place respect others and don't be a BASTARD, there are enough out there!

Prince Concert!

I was at the Prince concert at the ACC yesterday and it was fucken amazing! I am a fan of Prince but not a huge fan, I don't have all the albums and some of the songs I did not recognize...but... seeing him last night is prime example of what a great performer he had the audience by the balls and would not let go until he was done! Ballad version of Little Red Corvette was awesome, and Purple rain was perfect! With his band or with just him and his guitar Prince is a worthwile ticket!

Pre-Approve This!

I keep getting credit card junk mail telling me I am pre-approved for this card and that card and it drives me crazy. I had a credit card that was mailed to me stolen, so I get very irked when these forms come in to apply for new pre-approved cards, any yahoo can theif these things in my mail and get himself a card under my name.
So I was plenty pissed when Capital One Master Card sent me an pre-approved application today. So I called them up to tell them to keep me off all their lists.
How did I get to them? Easy I found the MaterCard international number and they forwarded me to the right number.
And now I pass that info onto you:
Make sure that you tell them to take you off their mailing list and their phone lists. You'll be on hold for a bit, but it's worth not getting this junk in the mail

Our indifference makes us great!!

So I was asked about the legality of pot in Canada from an American who keeps up with my blog.
Marijuana at the present time is not legal in Canada, nor do I believe it should ever be legal. I have been to Amsterdam and if you are not high it's not the great city that many people who like to partake in pot claim it to be.
However, I do agree with decriminilizing possession. And our Prime Minister Paul Martin, will try in October to revive legislation to reduce penalties for simple possession of marijuana. Basically anyone caught with up to 15 grams of pot would face a ticket, not criminal charges. Fines from $100 to $400.
And this legislation would include tougher penalties for those running marijuana grow operations.
And I hope this legilation goes through.
That brings me to my title Our indifference makes us great!!
I honestly believe that it is this indifference that makes Canada great.
The gay marriage allowed in certain provinces in Canada, its really gone through because the majority of people don't give a rats ass if people want to get married; gay, straight, whatever.
Ask a Canadian if they would be upset if someone burnt the flag, most likely say: "just don't get ashes on me or my property and you can do whatever the fuck you want."
A woman can go topless in Toronto (and Ontario) and you won't get fined. Basically you wanna show your tits, hey that's your right, at the end of the day as long as your tit does not get in our way, we just don't care.
So that's it in a nutshell.

Just for Laughs

OK, I'm in Montreal for the Just for Laughs Festival.  And it is great.
I have a lot of friends in the show Evil Dead the musical, and if you know anyone in Montreal, tell them to go see it! It is the best production thus far and it was great back in its first run!!
Trevor Martin really balances the show with his voice and is great fun to watch!
and Mike "Nug" Nahrgang is exceptional, but beyond that really!
The rest of the cast whom I do not really know are fantastic!
Especially Danielle as Cheryl rocks the house and the stage!
This is going to be HUGE and you heard it from me first!

It's getting out of hand!

I recently went to the pharmacy to get a prescription filled. The drugs cost me $2.19, but the drug store charged me a dispensing fee of $4.47, so my total came to $6.66 thus proving that dispensing fees are the mark of the DEVIL!

1.It is outrageous that we citizens of Ontario have to pay dispensing fees for each prescription we get filled at one visit.
2.It is outrageous that we have to pay a dispensing fee which often supersedes the price of the drugs, in my case it was twice the price of the drug.
3.It is outrageous that pharmacies are allowed to rape the consumer which such fees, each pharmacy sets their own rate; it's not controlled and thus we get fucked and hard!

OK, so now I'm pissed, and as much as I like to bitch about stuff I also think it is imperative to act on what pisses you off!
So I have decided to draft a letter to a man I truly believe is a fuck nut Mr. Dalton McGuinty, Premier of Ontario. In hopes that this asshole will do something about it.

OK so what can you do about it?
Take 2 minutes and email the Premier and tell him you want something done about it!

COCK-SLAP of the Month! - June

OK, so for the month of June; the COCK-SLAP of the month has to be DAVID MILLER!
You see David Miller always proclaimed to be the city's mayor, one with the people, open, honest and trustworthy. Not your typical politician. And yet when the going gets tough Miller becomes a cock-slap. That's right, during the whole Julian Fantino not getting his contract renewed (in otherwords getting the boot). Miller rather then stepping up to the plate and telling Torontonians why this happened, he hid behind the "it wasn't my decision" or the popular "change is good" someone should tell these politicians that the public can see through this BULLSHIT.
I mean if you wanted the guy fired just tell us:
"we didn't mesh well"
"I didn't subscribe to his politics"
"I don't like the man"

These are all reasons we could accept, regardless of whether you are a fan of Police chief Fantino's there has been an significant outcry from a large group of people who don't want to see Fantino fired. So don't you think as the fucken "city's mayor" you proclaim to be; that they deserve an honest answer and not your smug asshole rhetoric?

Congratulation Toronto's Mayor DAVID MILLER you are a COCK-SLAP!

Coming soon --COCK-SLAP of the Month!

That's right, in the next day or two I will be posting my pick for COCK-SLAP of the Month! Check out past Cock-slaps and feel free to tell me who you think should earn this title.

Spiderman 2

Last night I went and saw Spiderman 2, I was really looking forward to it, because I thought the first one was incredible.

I didn't enjoy this one. I didn't think it was a piece of shit like The Hulk, but I was bored a lot. When Peter's Aunt goes on the lecture, I kept thinking "when is this old broad gonna die already". Special effects as you would expect are great. But I think the director Raimi was really trying to showcase what made him a cult hero with all the hands coming in from no where into the frame and the whole chainsaw bit. News Flash: We expect more then just a rehashing of devices that have worked in your 'B' films from the past. I could overlook the schlocky dialogue, it was in the first one and was charming but in this one it's put on thick layers and gets tiresome.

Finally I could believe almost everything in the film, but I found it is totally unbelievable that Kirsten Dunst is a poor super model who would appear on billboards across New York, I mean c'mon even the kids are going to have trouble with that one.

Gotta do it baby!

OK so yesterday night I went to the Drive-In. That's right the Drive-In Movie Theatre it was awesome. It is a real shame Drive-In's are a dying breed because it's a great summer activity.

I highly recommend you find yourself a Drive-In this summer and enjoy the experience.

The Drive in I went to is on Concession 29, not too far from Elmvale or Wasaga Beach.

have a good summer
oh and by the way The Stepford Wives sucks ass!!! but at least I saw it at the Drive-In

Check it out - Toronto Fringe!

For those of you who like to support the arts.
For those of you who enjoy something a little different.
Check out the Toronto Fringe Festival.

I have friends in these two shows:
starring: Katerina Taxia and Melissa Bourne
place: Tarragon Theatre Extra Space, 30 Bridgman Ave.
This one sounds a little mysterious!
8 feet Under
Starring: Ted Hallet, Rebecca Dreiling, Dave Tompa, Natashia Boomer, Jen Radomsky (who I directed in last years fringe), Erin Kell, Lucy Eveleigh, and Paolo Mancini (see my review of his show Jesus Hopped the A Train)

This one sounds like a dark comedy!

Let me start by saying, all cultures and countries are great to those who have a distinct connection to them.

July 1st, is the day Canadians celebrate our country.

I love being Canadian and I love Canada!

You can burn my flag, and I bet it would make a spetacular flame and keep you warm; doesn't make my country any less great.

You can say autumn is pretty in your country, but it is unfucken believable in Canada.

I Love the fact we have more trees, lakes and mountains than arms.

Maple syrup makes snow taste great.
(Caution: never eat yellow snow)

I love my big cities: Montreal, Halifax, Calgary, Vancouver and of course TORONTO!!!

I love all the towns in between, especially Tiny Beaches.

We are strong and free.
